Just when the New York Giants thought they were coming together as a very good team, they get shutout by the Philadelphia Eagles which included the sacking of Eli Manning again and again while Victor Cruz is out for the season due to a knee injury, and the meme makers didn’t really take it easy on them.

The Giants felt like the offensive line was coming together. Like the plan to make Manning a more accurate passer. The defensive line was efficient again with its pass rush. But once the good teams come? The Giants folded, allowed the Eagles pass rush to run all over them and failed to put up a single point in a division game.

Manning wasn’t completely to blame. He was actually pulled out of the game so he won’t end up broken to pieces from all the times he was hitting the ground. But his immobility doesn’t help either. He wasn’t able to raise his game to a certain necessary level.

The Philadelphia Eagles continues to baffle with their performances, but they’re tied for the lead in the NFC East with a 5-1 record, which is the most important thing right now. Actually improving offensively? That seems a bit less important when no matter who they’re facing (unless it’s the San Francisco 49ers) ends up getting beat.
