The Dallas Cowboys make a serious statement with a road win against the Seattle Seahawks to put them very close to the top of the NFL Power Rankings after week 6, although overall, the Denver Broncos still seem like the strongest team in the league. At the bottom nothing changes, as the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Oakland Raiders continue to look worse than anyone else.

1. Denver Broncos, 4-1: The Broncos continue to not blow teams out of the water, but another win, and the record for passing touchdowns all-time is getting closer by the minute for Peyton Manning.

2. Dallas Cowboys, 5-1: The Dallas Cowboys came to the toughest stadium in the NFL and walked away with a 30-23 win that wasn’t actually that close. It’s hard to imagine them feeling any more confident than right now.

3. San Diego Chargers, 5-1: Winning so narrowly against the Oakland Raiders is probably the worst we’ve seen from the Chargers, especially on defense due to their short secondary, but it doesn’t take away one bit from how amazing Philip Rivers has been this season.

4. Seattle Seahawks 4-2: The loss to the Cowboys exposed some things that have been noticeable: Marshawn Lynch is struggling to be consistent, affecting Russell Wilson as well. The defense is very good, but not remotely close to being as good as they love to suggest they are.

5. San Francisco 49ers, 4-2: This defense makes it easy for a very inconsistent offense to look great at times.

6. Philadelphia Eagles, 5-1: It’s hard to explain how a struggling quarterback is currently with a 5-1 record as a starter this season. Maybe it had something to do with LeSean McCoy finally breaking the 100-yard barrier in 2014.

7. Indianapolis Colts, 4-2: The Colts have control of the AFC South again following a 33-28 over the Texans, although they’ve yet to put in a complete, solid performance on offense for an entire game.

8. Cincinnati Bengals, 3-1-1: No A.J. Green means Andy Dalton finding the passing game a lot more difficult to master.

9. Green Bay Packers, 4-2: Aaron Rodgers is an incredible quarterback who keeps doing amazing things to have his less than super team winning games it shouldn’t.

10. Baltimore Ravens, 4-2: Playing against the usually bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave Joe Flacco a chance to put up five touchdowns in the first quarter before slowing down quickly afterwards.

11. Arizona Cardinals, 4-1: The Cardinals looked good, not great, with Carson Palmer back at the helm. With that defense, they might actually be able to stay on top or near that in the NFC West all the way through.

12. New England Patriots, 4-2: Their players, including Stevan Ridley and Jerod Mayo, are dropping like flies. But when Tom Brady gets time to operate in the pocket, teams like the Bills are easy to tear apart.

13. Carolina Panthers, 3-2-1: With Cam Newton healthy and running like an All-Pro running back again, the only question will be if Carolina’s defense can live up to the standards of last season.

14. New York Giants, 3-3: Just when you thought the Giants were going to get things together, they put on a zero-points performance in Philadelphia.

15. Detroit Lions, 4-2: The offensive line makes life for Matthew Stafford very difficult, but their defense, this time annihilating Teddy Bridgewater, is keeping them tied at the top of the NFC North.

16. Chicago Bears, 3-3: Beating the Falcons at home isn’t easy, and it came with the Bears probably putting on their most complete offensive performance of the season, with Matt Forte running through easily and Cutler getting two healthy star wide receivers to throw to.

17. Cleveland Browns, 3-2: Brian Hoyer might not want to stay in Cleveland for the long run, but he’s doing fine without any long term security.

18. Houston Texans, 3-3: Ryan Fitzpatrick is making the mistakes everyone expected him too and although J.J. Watt is being monstrous once more, it’s not enough to make this team more than mediocre.

19. Kansas City Chiefs, 2-3: We’ll probably know if the Chiefs are going to make the playoffs this season after their visit to San Diego next week.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers, 3-3: Ben Roethlisberger has just one receiver to throw to, and if Mike Tomlin doesn’t find a way to jump start this offense (and defense) into life, he won’t be staying on for another season.

21. Atlanta Falcons, 2-4: If the Falcons can’t run the ball at home against the Bears defense, maybe it is time to say goodbye to Mike Smith at the end of this season.

22. New Orleans Saints, 2-3: Drew Brees hasn’t been very disappointing this season. That trend can’t continue against Detroit, although that defensive line makes it very difficult for visiting quarterbacks.

23. Buffalo Bills, 3-3: You can always count on the Bills to mess up when they have a game that has a lot riding on it.

24. Miami Dolphins, 2-3: With every game that goes by, it’s harder and harder to believe that Ryan Tannehill is the quarterback of the future for this franchise, although it might have something to do with the offensive line.

25. Minnesota Vikings, 2-4: The Teddy Bridgewater optimism train was halted as he was sacked eight times in a loss to the Lions, also throwing three interceptions.

26. Tennessee Titans, 2-4: The Titans continue to look very bad, but their losing streak comes to an end thanks to playing a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the worst offensive line in the NFL.

27. St. Louis Rams, 1-4: Only one sack since the start of the season. With Austin Davis as the quarterback, it’s impossible to win with such an abysmal contribution from the defense.

28. Washington Redskins, 1-5: Kirk Cousins isn’t the second coming or the future. Right now he’s just an interception machine.

29. New York Jets, 1-5: The Jets continue to boast a close to pathetic offense that put up only 204 total yards in the loss to the Broncos, ranked dead last in the NFL with 182 passing yards per game.

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1-5: Each game and the situation seems to get worse for the Buccaneers who might put up some nice numbers on offense, but are so bad when it comes to the offensive line and defense that it doesn’t really matter.

31. Oakland Raiders, 0-5: They made life difficult for the Chargers, not the Titans, so they get to move up on the Jags.

32. Jacksonville Jaguars, 0-6: Blake Bortles is putting up some nice numbers (336 yards, one touchdown pass) in a loss to the Titans, but when a quarterback gets sacked at least 4-5 times in each game, it’s hard to actually create a winning atmosphere.
