Champions League – Week 4 Predictions (Groups E – H)

Bayern Munich

The second night of week 4 in the Champions League group stage puts Roma playing Bayern Munich in an attempt to put the disgrace of their previous match behind them. Barcelona visit Ajax in an attempt to reboot after two consecutive league losses and Manchester City might finally find their first win of the season in the competition.

Group E

Bayern Munich vs Roma: After the utter humiliation in Rome, it’s probably going to be a very different match in Munich. However, Roma’s form has dipped in the league as well, and it’s hard to believe they’ll get anything more than a draw at best.

Manchester City vs CSKA Moscow: If there was ever a chance for City to finally break into the top two, let alone win a match in the competition this season, it’s now. CSKA have just one point so far this season, and that’s how it will remain most likely.

Group F

Ajax vs Barcelona: The most packed attack this side of Real Madrid and yet Barcelona have scored just one league goal in two matches. It’s a special return for Luis Suarez and more than anything, it might be Ajax’s last chance of keeping their hopes of making it to the next round alive.

PSG vs APOEL: If Ajax don’t beat Barcelona, PSG can clinch their spot in the round with a win over the Cypriot champions.

Group G

Maribor vs Chelsea: The Slovenian side has pulled off some remarkable moments so far in the competition, but that’s unlikely to happen against the scorching Chelsea.

Sporting vs Schalke: Sporting were robbed when the two teams previously met. They’re tough to beat at home, and can’t afford anything but a win if they’re to stay in the picture of qualifying.

Group H

Bilbao vs Porto: This has been a terrible season for the Basque side so far, with just one point in the competition so far. Porto are doing well in the league and in Europe, as anything but a draw will put them very close towards a much needed qualification into the next round.

Shakhtar vs BATE: Shakhtar aren’t as good this season as in previous years, but Borisov are awful, which means it shouldn’t be much of a problem for the Ukrainian champions.
