Omri Casspi is the Secret to Success for DeMarcus Cousins & the Sacramento Kings

Returning to the team his NBA career began at, Omri Casspi has a very important job on the Sacramento Kings sideline – fixing the headband DeMarcus Cousins uses in order for the team’s star to be focused completely on basketball and not worry about the little stuff.

The Kings, one of the worst teams in the NBA over the last few seasons and absent from the playoffs since 2006, have started out the season at 4-1, winning four in a row following a 131-109 victory over the Nuggets.

They’ve now beaten the Nuggets twice in a row, and also have wins over the Blazers and the Clippers.

Cousins scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the most recent win and has been averaging 24.6 points with 10.6 rebounds per game, making a very good case to be named as the best center in the NBA.

Cousins and Caspsi have been teammates in the past, playing for the Kings in 2010-2011, Casspi’s second NBA season and the first for Cousins, coming in as a rookie from Kentucky. Casspi is averaging 8 points per game off the bench on his second stint with the Kings, following short tenures with the Cavaliers and Rockets.
