The Dallas Cowboys won’t be 8-8 this season after beating the Chicago Bears, which was another triumphant moment for Tony Romo this season while Jay Cutler was bad and worse one more time, earning himself a few more humiliating memes.

Cutler’s numbers by the end of the game improved, but the scoreboard and his stats lied. The Bears lost by just 13 points, but it was once again a comeback after falling deep into despair and to a point from where there was no return. Their points were scored in garbage time while the Cowboys entered the fourth quarter completely relaxed, leading 35-7.

The Cowboys still need some teams above them to lose, or to finish this season strong, with a schedule that includes the Eagles, Colts and Redskins. At 9-4, they’re not certain in the playoffs, and in the NFC will probably need 11 wins in order to get in for the first time since 2009.

And the Bears? Their season ended when they lost to the Lions on Thanksgiving. Some say it ended when they were crushed by the Patriots and Packers on consecutive weeks. Jay Cutler throws more interceptions, Marc Trestman keeps messing his offensive plan and it comes out worse for it, and overall this will be their worst season in at least five years if not more.
