Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant Can Suck Against the Worst NBA Team

Thunder beat 76ers

It’s going to be a rough road to recovery for Kevin Durant, but luckily for him Russell Westbrook doesn’t mind shouldering the scoring load – he welcomes it, especially in an easy game against the Philadelphia 76ers which the Oklahoma City Thunder won 103-91.

The 76ers celebrated their first win of the season against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but are now 0-11 at home, not giving their loyal fans who have to endure the worst basketball team in history night after night the joy of at least witnessing a single win.

Holding Kevin Durant to just 10 points on 3-of-11 from the field is usually the text book answer on how to beat the Thunder, but the 76ers aren’t your ordinary team. They’ll probably find a way to lose in any case.

Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 27 points on 8-of-14 from the field, although there was that interesting bit in which he dribbled down the clock, ignoring a wide open Durant only to throw an air-ball. That’s Westbrook, and it’s allowed against a team as bad as the 76ers.

The Thunder are still a long way from even looking like a playoff team (6-13) but at least now they have their first win with Durant in the lineup, and it should only get better from here.
