Club World Cup – Cruz Azul vs Real Madrid Match Highlights

The road towards completing a fantastic 2014 just got a bit shorter for Real Madrid, beating Cruz Azul 4-0 in the semifinal of the Club World Cup with goals from Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Isco.

The Mexican side had their chances, especially in the first half, when it looked like finding their way into the Real Madrid penalty box wasn’t too difficult. After already falling behind by two goals, Sergio Ramos (40th minute) made a foolish fouled that allowed Gerardo Torrado to make things a bit closer.

Instead, the veteran took a poor penalty that Iker Casillas saved, not having to gamble on a side, instead simply following the trajectory of the ball and parrying it aside. That was pretty much the last time Real Madrid looked close to conceding a goal.

Real Madrid played more or less with their strongest lineup to the cheers of the quite enthusiastic Moroccan crowd, not really interested in anything but seeing the European champions conquer with ease.

Playing in the Final against Auckland City or San Lorenzo, it shouldn’t prove to be too difficult.
