Any hope the Arizona Cardinals had in their third quarterback, Ryan Lindley, got crushed underneath the boot of the mighty Seattle Seahawks, resulting in memes celebrating the dominant win which resulted in them clinching a playoff spot.
Unless something very surprising happens on the final week, the Seahawks should win the NFC West for a second straight season and end up with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They gave up just six points to the Cardinals in Arizona, allowing Lindley to complete just 18-of-44 throws.
That spells trouble for the Cardinals who are in the postseason as well, but are going in with a defense that knows it’s not going to get a lot of help from an offense led by their third or fourth string quarterbacks.
For the Seahawks, the confidence is headed in a different direction. Five wins in which they’ve allowed more than seven points just once, and an offense riding the same shtick all season long, but it seems to be working.
