Los Angeles Clippers – Blake Griffin Invents a New Kind of Block

Blake Griffin Block

The 180-degree block by Blake Griffin, even if it was by mistake, was the best and only outstanding thing to take away from the Los Angeles Clippers beating the Boston Celtics 119-106.

So what is the 180 block? Griffin misjudged the angle and timing when trying to block Jonas Jerebko, but still had time to turn around mid air and strip/block the ball from the hands of the Swedish forward. That 180 number is usually reserved to dunks, something Griffin knows a thing or two about, but he can provide highlights on the defensive end as well.

The Clippers have won seven in a row, which hasn’t helped them move above fifth in the West, as Portland keep hanging on to that home court advantage now that LaMarcus Aldridge is back.

J.J. Redick, on fire recently, scored 27 points, with the entire starting five reaching 15 points or more. Griffin had 21, Chris Paul had a 21-10 double double, even Matt Barnes scored 18 points and DeAndre Jordan finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds, but an embarrassing 3-of-15 from the free throw line.
