The Chicago Blackhawks took a 2-1 lead in their series against the Nashville Predators with a 4-2 win in game 3, doing quite well to forget about their horrendous performance two days prior to the game.
Scott Darling was fantastic on the line (35 saves, 94.6%), Jonathan Toews scored a goal and added an assist while Marian Hossa finished with a couple of assists to help the Blackhawks regain the lead in the series and maintain their “stolen” home ice advantage, doing quite well to put the 6-2 loss on Friday behind them.
The rest
The New York Islanders took a 2-1 lead in their series with the Washington Capitals following a 2-1 victory. John Tavares scored the winning goal right after overtime began, complementing a fantastic performance by Jaroslav Halak at goal.
In a series that seems to be pretty much done, the Montreal Canadiens took a 3-0 lead over the Ottawa Senators, not letting the switch to being on the road affect them. Despite Ottawa taking an early lead, a couple of goals from Dale Weise, including one in overtime, took care of business and put the Habs one win away from the conference semifinals.
In a hate filled rivalry the Calgary Flames beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-2, taking a 2-1 lead in the series as it moved into Calgary. They held just a one goal lead heading into the third period, but goals from Sam Bennett and Sean Monahan took care of business.
