Champions League Goals & Highlights (Barcelona vs PSG, Bayern Munich vs Porto)

Bayern Munich beat Porto

No problems at all for Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarterfinal clashes with PSG and Porto respectively, comfortably doing the expected thing and qualifying to the semifinals after convincing wins at home.

Barcelona are back in the semifinal thanks to a first half brace from Neymar. They beat the French champions 2-0, making it 5-1 on aggregate, hopefully for them beginning a new semifinals streak after losing to Atletico Madrid in the quarters last season, ending a six-year streak.

Bayern Munich had a more difficult job to perform at the Allianz Arena, trying to bounce back from a shocking 3-1 loss in Portugal to Porto. After hitting the cross bar twice within the first ten minutes, it didn’t seem like Porto would hang on for long.

In the 14th minute the gates were opened and Thiago Alcantara started the demolition. Eight minutes later it was Jerome Boateng, followed by a brace from Robert Lewandowski and another goal from Thomas Muller.

The end result? 6-1, Bayern win, as Jackson Martinez got one back in the 73rd minute but a beautiful free kick from Xabi Alonso in the 88th minute settled the score, sending Bayern Munich to the semifinals with a 7-4 aggregate win.
