For the 23rd time, Barcelona are the La Liga champions, and the memes are celebrating their and Lionel Messi’s greatness while making fun of Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Because while Ronaldo was busy celebrating a meaningless hat trick again an opponent that wasn’t too difficult to break down considering they’re not too happy about seeing Barcelona win another championship either, Barcelona were playing for a title, something Real Madrid won’t win this season at all, a second time in three years that’s happened.
Ronaldo will win the Pichichi, but his goal celebrations come a few days after Sergio Ramos made his remarks about Ronaldo’s selfishness. When you add up his and Real Madrid’s inability to win league titles over the last few years except for one time, it doesn’t paint a pretty picture.
Messi established himself once again as the best footballer in the world. More importantly, he sets up Barcelona for two more titles on their sights – the Copa Del Rey and more importantly, the Champions League, with a final against Juventus waiting not too far down the road.
