The 2015 NBA Finals are almost upon us, and the memes are coming at a furious pace. They’ll be different because of new incidents, but overall they’ll focus on LeBron James for good and bad, Matthew Dellavedova breaking stuff, Stephen Curry and his daughter and even a bit of some logical Cavaliers vs Warriors debate.
But there’s no doubt James will be the focus of most of them. The comparisons to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. The number of rings he has or doesn’t have. Him being clutch or not. We’ve heard it before, but it’s not going away.
We’ll be getting a lot of jokes about Riley Curry, Stephen Curry’s daughter, especially if keeps bringing her on to his post game press conferences. We’ll also get a little bit about Steve Kerr and David Blatt; about who is owning who, but don’t lie to yourself: They’re not that interesting.
We’ll be seeing some 3-pointer memes, some Kyrie Irving healthy or not memes, some Kevin Love being injured jokes and if the Cavaliers surprise everyone and win it, we’ll be getting and endless amount of memes at the expense of the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony, trading away J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert.
