Match Highlights – Champions League Final (Barcelona vs Juventus)

For the 4th time in 10 years, Barcelona win the Champions League, beating Juventus 3-1 in the final, completing the treble for the second time in club history.

Barcelona didn’t wait long to get on the scoresheet as Ivan Rakitic was at the end of a nice build up play, turning an Andres Iniesta pass into an assist with a goal from close range.

For most of the first half or what remained of it after the 4th minute goal it was Gianluigi Buffon making saves, at least until Juventus managed to start disrupting the Barcelona midfield and keeping Lionel Messi out of the loop as much as possible.

In the second half that momentum carried on and Juventus were the better team, eventually scoring the equalizer, Alvaro Morata, probably feeling very special for scoring against Barca, netting the ball off a rebound in the 55th minute.

After a few more good minutes from Juventus, Barcelona replied in a similar manner, as Luis Suarez made the most of a clumsy parry from Buffon, giving Barca the lead again in the 68th minute.

After a short blitz from Barcelona, Juventus managed to create a couple of half chances in the closing minutes. A Neymar goal was disallowed (correct decision) because of a handball, but Neymar had the last laugh, closing the match with a goal on the counter attack, forcing the referee to blow for the finish and signal the celebrations to start.
