After being crowned and heralded by everyone, the Cleveland Cavaliers wonder ride led by LeBron James came to a crashing halt in game 4, beaten badly by the Golden State Warriors in a poor performance that resulted in a lot of memes making fun of James and his teammates.
Every time the Cavaliers will lose, James will be the butt of the jokes. The mix was between how badly he performed in the fourth quarter when it looked like he simply ran out of gas (actually happened earlier) and broke down, and the fact that he cut his head open after crashing into a cameraman on the sidelines. Any other athlete would be pampered, but because it’s James, it’s somehow his fault and an “excuse.”
The Warriors figured out how to completely shut down Matthew Dellavedova and were willing to live with Timofey Mozgov and Tristan Thompson dominating the boards. With James struggling all throughout the game, second-chance points from the big man weren’t too much of a difficulty.
And if all of this wasn’t bad enough, LeBron James was exposed in another way. The Warriors and Cavaliers are now tied at 2-2, but it’s not hard to guess who has the advantage once more.
