Steven Gerrard Scores His First Goal For the Los Angeles Galaxy

Things are starting to click for Steven Gerrard as he adjusts to playing in the MLS for the Los Angeles Galaxy, scoring his first league goal for his new club in a 5-2 win over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Gerrard scored the equalizing goal after the Galaxy fell behind early to a brace from Quincy Amarikwa, Robbie Keane brought the Galaxy back with a goal from the penalty spot and Gerrard, making the most of some bungle up in the San Jose defense to score from close range, netted in the ball at the 37th minute to make it all even.

Gerrard also set up the go-ahead goal in the 64th minute, against converted by Robbie Keane. The Galaxy cruised from that moment (64th minute), with Robbie Keane getting a hat trick (once again from the penalty spot) and Sebastian Lletget scoring in injury time to make it 5-2.

The Los Angeles Galaxy, following the win, are once again on top of the Western conference with 34 points, two ahead of the Seattle Sounders, who have two matches in hand and are trailing them by two points.
