Growing older is a depressing things. When it happens in a blink of an eye it sucks even more. Turns out that working on the sidelines at the Camp Nou, managing FC Barcelona, makes you look older faster than anything else, as Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique can clearly prove.

Guardiola took a year off in 2012 after saying that the intensity of managing Barcelona (with great success) got to him. It didn’t just wear him down mentally and physically. He seemed to age by almost 10 years in the span of two.

The same thing has happened to Luis Enrique, who unless was coloring his hair at the beginning of the season at Barcelona, picked up quite a few greyish looking hairs during his treble debut season.

Barcelona aren’t the only big club with incredible demands, but maybe there’s something in the water over there in Catalonia, that combined with all the other factors, makes managers age by a decade or two within the span of 12 or 24 months.
