College Football Rumors – Oklahoma, Oregon, Miami, Clemson, Auburn & Maryland Interested in Recruiting Rahshaun Smith

Rahshaun Smith

There’s a very long list of possibilities for Rahshaun Smith, the number two outside linebacker in the 2016 class, to consider. He has three official visits with Clemson, Maryland and Auburn, and two more that might go to Oklahoma, Oregon or Miami, but he has offers from a lot of other schools across the nation, including Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.

The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Smith is going to finish high school in December, and then enroll in the school he chooses a month later. He will announce his pick at the Under Armour All-America game. According to the ESPN rankings, he’s the number 26 prospect overall in the 2016 class.

Smith had an official visit with LSU but he cancelled it, and now, the only known ones he’ll make are Auburn on November 14 (to see them play Georgia), Maryland on December 4 and Clemson on December 11. He has two more official visits he can go on, and Smith himself mentioned Oklahoma, Oregon and Miami as the possibilities, but he might go in a lot of different directions on this one.

Smith was committed to Clemson but withdrew it because he wanted to go through the process, regretting making his choice so early. He’s still interested to see what the Tigers have to offer him. Both Clemson and Auburn seem to be intriguing to Smith because of their defensive coordinators, while Maryland is about a chance to go back to where he grew up.
