One of the highest ranked talents in the upcoming college football recruiting class, Shavar Manuel of IMG Academy, will make his decision soon, with LSU, Florida and Auburn as his favored destinations.
Florida State were in the picture for a while, but according to the defensive end, ranked 12th overall in the nation and third in his position according to ESPN (five-star recruit, obviously), there’s been no contact with their coaches recently.
Manuel recently transferred from Blake High School to IMG. He had a preseason injury that held up his progress, but did play his first game for his new school last weekend, recording a sack while being used sparingly.
For now, Manuel plans on two officials visits: Florida and Auburn, and then he might announce some more. There’s no date set for an official announcement and either way, it’s all up in the air for him and other prospects until the Under Armour All-America game in December, when the deadline to announce comes.
