Maybe the saddest thing about the New York Giants beating the Washington Redskins, with an interception prone Kirk Cousins and a benched Robert Griffin III, is that it wasn’t that interesting even to make fun of them through memes.
The Redskins have been bad for so long it’s not even comical anymore. They’re just a franchise that has no clue how to get out of the situation they’re in, making bad choice after bad choice, now mostly waiting for a quarterback to pull them out of this mess.
The Giants are a better team, with a talented offense, but an embarrassing defense. They’re easily beaten and scored on by good teams. The Redskins? Not remotely close to a good team.
And on the sidelines? Robert Griffin III, with a sad smile on his face, knowing that a bad Cousins is still not terrible enough to allow Griffin a role on the field. Not now, and possibly not again in Redskins uniform.
