Gerald Green vs Wizards

In a not-too-busy night of NBA preseason, a huge Anthony Davis game didn’t prevent the New Orleans Pelicans losing, Gerald Green was once again the spark plug for the Miami Heat, Jeremy Lin & Nicolas Batum dominated for the undefeated Charlotte Hornets, Mike Conley won the game for the Memphis Grizzlies and Markieff Morris actually looks happy in another Phoenix Suns win.

New Orleans Pelicans 107  Orlando Magic 110: A huge night from Anthony Davis wasn’t enough to slow down a very fun to watch Orlando Magic. Davis scored 33 points to go with 16 rebounds and 5 blocks, but shot just 8-of-24 from the field, getting help from Nate Robinson with 18 points. Six players scored in double figures for the Magic, including 24 by Nikola Vucevic, 19 by Mario Hezonja and 18 for Tobias Harris.

Charlotte Hornets 99  Detroit Pistons 94: No Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lamb meant an interesting Jeremy Lin and Nicolas Batum backcourt and overall a huge lineup for the Hornets who remain perfect in preseason, with Batum and Lin each dropping 18 points. Andre Drummond led the Pistons with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

Memphis Grizzlies 82  Atlanta Hawks 81: Zach Randolph scored 19 points to go with 13 rebounds in leading the Griz, winning on a Mike Conley go-ahead field goal with 53 seconds to go. Kent Bazemore scored 18 points to lead the Hawks.

Washington Wizards 105  Miami Heat 110: Despite the win, the Wizards should be more pleased, with their starting five dominating during their minutes and scoring in double figures, all five of them. Marcin Gortat had a 18-13 double double and so did Kris Humphries with 16 points and 12 rebounds. For the Heat, it was the play of Gerald Green, having a terrific preseason, with 28 points, that won them the game.

Phoenix Suns 99  Dallas Mavericks 87: The Dallas Mavericks keep losing although without most of their key players on the floor, as John Jenkins led them in scoring once again, this time with 22 points while Raymond Felton helped with 17. Markieff Morris led the Suns with 18 points, while T.J. Warren helped from the bench with 15.
