Stephen Curry vs Lakers

The NBA preseason is winding down but there’s still plenty of action to go around. The Golden State Warriors destroyed the Los Angeles Lakers with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in fine form, the Los Angeles Clippers survived the scoring onslaught of Damian Lillard and the Charlotte Hornets lost for the first time, although most of their key players were resting.

Charlotte Hornets 86  Indiana Pacers 98: No more undefeated for the Charlotte Hornets, playing without Jeremy Lin, Marvin Williams, Nicolas Batum and Al Jefferson among others. C.J. Miles scored 20 for the Pacers while Paul George finished with 12. Frank Kaminsky scored 19 points to lead the Hornets.

New York Knicks 85  Boston Celtics 99: A horrible shooting day for Carmelo Anthony (4-of-18 from the field), scoring just 8 points. Jose Calderon led the Knicks with 17. On the other end, Jared Sullinger scored 16 points and Tyler Zeller, another player hoping to get an extension, finished with 15.

Denver Nuggets 78  Utah Jazz 98: No Emmanuel Mudiay meant a very embarrassing looking Nuggets team, led by 19 points from Danilo Gallinari. Trey Burke once again led the Jazz scoring 17 points, followed by Rudy Gobert with a 14 points, 11 rebounds double double.

Golden State Warriors 136  Los Angeles Lakers 97: The Warriors took out some frustration on the other Los Angeles team with 24 points from Stephen Curry, 24 for Klay Thompson and 23 by Harrison Barnes. The Lakers, still without Kobe Bryant, were led by Lou Williams with 19 points.

Portland Trail Blazers 109  Los Angeles Clippers 115: Damian Lillard scored 39 points and C.J. McCollum finished with in what should be one of the most fun backcourts to watch in this league. The problem is that there won’t be much else for the Blazers to put on display. Blake Griffin finished with 22 points, Paul Pierce had his best game of the preseason with 19 and both J.J. Redick and Austin Rivers scored 16 points.
