It’s a rough day for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Not just the memes making fun of them, but recovering from the beatdown given to them by the Denver Broncos defense.
Yes, the Broncos finally looked good on offense. No, no Peyton Manning touchdowns, but C.J. Anderson finally looked good running the ball and things moved well for them, without having to rely just on their defense to save the day.
Not that the defense didn’t do great. Rodgers finished with just 77 passing yards, and the Packers had only 140 total yards. All the talk about having an easy schedule? Well, they met the best (allegedly) the NFC has to offer and broke them down.
What does this mean? As usual, depends on how much you love to overreact when something happens in the regular season. It does say the Broncos probably have the best defense in the league (until we see them against the Patriots that is), but mostly is that the Packers have a whole lot of work to do, because it’s probably going to take home field advantage in order to make it into the Super Bowl.
