So with 4 games left to play, Manchester United hold a 6 point lead at the top of the table and nothing short of a miracle will keep Alex Ferguson from lifting his 18th(!!) English League Title and his 11th since the Premiership was founded. It seems like a miracle is what Middlesbrough need to avoid relegation from the top flight.

A game that started with a lot of hopes and ambitions for Boro who played hosts to Man U at the riverside, but it took 25 minutes for Ryan Giggs to squash those dreams. United enjoyed the regular referee mistake in their favor when a few minutes later Vidic clearly played the ball with his hand in the penalty area but the whistle remained silent in Halsey’s mouth. Who says United get favored by the refs only at home?

As the game progressed it seemed Boro were losing faith in their ability to get something out of this match, and Ji Sung Park made it 2-0 6 minutes into the second half to kill all of Boro’s hopes for the day.

Boro did shoot 14 times at goal, but only 2 were on target and Ben Foster was hardly threatened. Boro have 3 games left and are hoping for Hull and Newcastle to lose their games tomorrow and on Monday, but things don’t look too good for Gareth Southgate and his players. United? It’s hard to see them lose 2 games out of their remaining four, but Liverpool and even Chelsea are allowed to dream. We all are. Here are the goals:

Ryan Giggs, 25th minute

Ji-Sung Park, 51st minute
