A game that started with a lot of hopes and ambitions for Boro who played hosts to Man U at the riverside, but it took 25 minutes for Ryan Giggs to squash those dreams. United enjoyed the regular referee mistake in their favor when a few minutes later Vidic clearly played the ball with his hand in the penalty area but the whistle remained silent in Halsey’s mouth.
