The Baltimore Orioles remain perfect, the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves still don’t have wins, the Chicago Cubs keep going strong in the desert while the San Francisco Giants are back to dominating the Los Angeles Dodgers. Above all are the Colorado Rockies with Trevor Story bombing away home runs, although he isn’t the only one doing it on the team.

Chicago Cubs 7  Arizona Diamondbacks 3: The Cubs keep their great start going and Jake Arrieta improved to 2-0 with six strikeouts in seven innings and hitting a home run. Jorge Soler also hit his first homer of the season.

Boston Red Sox 0  Toronto Blue Jays 3: Marco Estrada blanks the Red Sox, striking out eight in seven innings, followed by Roberto Osuna who picked up the save with a three-strikeout inning. Josh Donaldson kept his big hitting going, hitting home run number four of the season.

Pittsburgh Pirates 1  Cincinnati Reds 2: A nice pitchers duel in Cincy with the Reds carrying on with their surprising start. Tim Melville and Dan Straily did most of the legwork for the Reds in seven innings. The win was picked up by Ross Ohlendorf (2-0 this season). Eugenio Suarez hit his fourth home run of the season.

Philadelphia Phillies 5  New York Mets 2: Matt Harvey keeps having bad games (0-2), giving up six hits and three runs in six innings and things didn’t get better afterwards. Jeremy Hellickson had a decent start to pick up the win for the Phillies. Odubel Herrera his first home run of the season for Philly, scoring one more with him.

Tampa Bay Rays 3  Baltimore Orioles 5: The Orioles remain perfect, leaning on a four-hit day from Manny Machado, hitting a two-run homer, his third of the season. Vance Worley struck out five in less than five innings of work with the O’s giving up just one hit in the final four innings.

St. Louis Cardinals 12  Atlanta Braves 7: Still now win for the Braves while the Cardinals win number three in a row. Both Brandon Moss and Matt Carpenter hit three-run homers for the Cards, who enjoyed Jim Johnson blowing a lead and the game in the 8th.

Miami Marlins 2  Washington Nationals 4: The Marlins took the lead through Giancarlo Stanton, but Bryce Harper with an RBI double and Jayson Werth with an RBI single turned things around to keep the win in DC.

Houston Astros 2  Milwaukee Brewers 3: Jimmy Nelson struck out nine batters in six innings for Milwaukee, getting run support from an Aaron Hill single that scored two and a double from Domingo Santana.

Minnesota Twins 3  Kansas City Royals 4: The Twins are still winless while the Royals win their third in a row. The Twins had a two run lead going into the ninth, but Glen Perkins blew the lead and Trevor May lost the game. Eric Hosmer got an RBI off a triple, a sac fly from Kendrys Morales sent us to extra innings and Terrance Gore, brought in to pinch run, scored on a wild pitch by May.

Texas Rangers 1  Los Angeles Angels 3: A bad day for Martin Perez, giving up 7 hits, three runs and five walks with no k’s. Mike Trout got two RBIs on a ground out and a sac fly while an Albert Pujols RBI single completed the job.

Los Angeles Dodgers 6  San Francisco Giants 9: The Giants take back the helm, taking it right to Scott Kazmir (7 hits, six runs) while Johnny Cueto picked up his second win on the back of eight strikeouts, although he did allow 10 hits in 7 innings. Santiago Casilla got the save, as a home run from Angel Pagan in the fourth followed by an two-RBI single from Joe Panik turned the game around midway through.

Oakland Athletics 2  Seattle Mariners 1: Sean Doolittle finally gets his first save of the season as another terrific Felix Hernandez game goes to waste (7 innings, 3 hits, 10 strikeouts). The Mariners had the lead going into the 8th, but a home run by Marcus Semien followed by one from Coco Crisp turned the tide.

San Diego Padres 3  Colorado Rockies 6: The incredible start to Trevor Story’s career continues. Home run number 7 for the rookie , hitting in the 8th to pull the Rockies away. Carlos Gonzalez hit two home runs, Nolan Arenado hit one too and so did Ryan Raburn.
