College Basketball Rumors – Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, North Carolina & North Carolina State Trying to Recruit Terrance Ferguson

Terrance Ferguson

Two players who stand out in what might be the 2017 NBA Draft class still don’t have a college basketball team. One of them is Josh Jackson, maybe the best of the class finishing high school now. The other is Terrance Ferguson, who has North Carolina, Kansas, Arizona, Baylor and North Carolina State trying to sign him.

Ferguson, hailing from Dallas and a player at the Advanced Prep International, was committed to Alabama but bolted, and is now favoring Kansas and Arizona, although he still hasn’t made his choice. He’s graded as a five-star recruit by ESPN and Chad Ford has ranked him ranks him in the top 10 of the potential 2017 NBA Draft class.

Ferguson made an impression at both the McDonald’s All-Star game and especially at Hoops Summit. He scored 10 points in 16 minutes of basketball at the McDonald’s appearance. He had 21 points at Hoops Summit, shooting 7-for-11 from three in just 15 minutes.

A guard who stands 6’7, Ferguson has impressed scouts with his shooting, length and excellent defense. It’s not just his athleticism and length making him a very good defender. He looks like a player happy to play defense, although from now until he plays professional basketball and even for college, he’s going to need to do a little bit of bulking up.

Teammates at Advanced Prep International that are already signed are Mark Vital with Baylor (a four-star recruit), Nysier Brooks with Cincinnati and Stevie Jordan with Rider.
