The Boston Red Sox became the first team to beat the Baltimore Orioles, the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins are still winless, the Chicago Cubs are the hottest team in the land right now and the Colorado Rockies bring a whole lot of offense the San Francisco Giants simply can’t handle.

Cincinnati Reds 2  Chicago Cubs 9: The Cubs now own the longest winning streak in the majors, clubbing the Reds as Kris Bryant hit his first home run of the season. Bryant had two RBIs off of his home run and Jason Heyward picked up a couple as well with a two-RBI single in the third. John Lackey is now 2-0 this season, although with a 5.68 ERA. Alfredo Simon started for the Reds but didn’t make it out of the first inning.

Miami Marlins 1  New York Mets 2: After six scoreless innings, the Mets got two runs thanks to Kevin Plawecki with a two-RBI single while Jerry Blevins and Jeurys Familia shut things down from the mound.

Los Angeles Angels 5  Oakland Athletics 4: Matt Shoemaker allowed just one hit in six innings, striking out five batters. Kole Calhoun hit two scoring singles and Albert Pujols hit a two-run single to close the game.

Texas Rangers 2  Seattle Mariners 4: The Mariners win in the 10th off of a Dae ho Lee home run (two run homer), coming in to pinch hit for Adam Lind.

Baltimore Orioles 2  Boston Red Sox 4: The Red Sox have been making changes all across the roster, and maybe that is what gave them the edge to bring down the Orioles for the first time this season. Joe Kelly gave up seven hits but allowed two runs while striking out six. The bullpen did a terrific job, while the Red Sox turned a 0-2 deficit into a win with RBIs from Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Mookie Betts.

Atlanta Braves 0  Washington Nationals 3: The Braves remain winless, getting just five hits in the game. Tanner Roark had a strong start with just four hits in seven innings while Jayson Werth hit a two-run homer and Stephen Drew got one as well.

San Diego Padres 1  Philadelphia Phillies 2: Jerad Eickhoff struck out nine batters in seven innings while giving up just four hits. Offense was all about Maikel Franco with a home run and an RBI single.

Detroit Tigers 7  Pittsburgh Pirates 3: Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a grand slam home run and Ian Kinsler hit one of his own (two RBIs in the game) as the Tigers just had too much offense for the Pirates bullpen to handle despite a good start for Ryan Vogelsong.

New York Yankees 2  Toronto Blue Jays 7: Michael Pineda didn’t have the best of starts, but the finish by Ivan Nova was truly disastrous, giving up five hits and four runs in one inning. No home runs, but a lot of extra base hits, as Jose Bautista got RBI number 800 in his career.

Cleveland Indians 4  Tampa Bay Rays 1: Carlos Carrasco was fantastic with 8 strikeouts in 8 innings, allowing just four hits, a run and a walk. Offense came from Jason Kipnis with a 2-out homer and also RBIs for Carlos Santana and Francisco Lindor.

Chicago White Sox 3  Minnesota Twins 0: Twins join the Braves in the 0 wins thing, getting only four hits in the entire game. Carlos Rondon picked up the win, allowing three hits while striking out six. Jerry Sands also hit a two-run homer for the White Sox.

Kansas City Royals 4  Houston Astros 2: Ken Giles has the loss written on his name by giving up a two-run homer to Salvador Perez in the 8th, breaking the 2-2 tie and giving the Royals a second straight win.

Milwaukee Brewers 6  St. Louis Cardinals 4: The Brewers had plenty of offense on Mike Leake, but it was Trevor Rosenthal who gave up the game for the Cards, allowing a two-run homer that went 437 feet to Domingo Santana, breaking the 4-4 deadlock.

San Francisco Giants 6  Colorado Rockies 10: The Rockies had 18 hits in the game, including two home runs for Nolan Arenado, finishing with 7 RBIs in the game. Trevor Story was 3-for-4 with one RBI, reaching 13 this season.

Arizona Diamondbacks 1  Los Angeles Dodgers 3: Alex Wood did a good job while Kenley Jansen finished the job out of the bullpen. Adrian Gonzalez hit a home run, Chase Utley had an RBI through grounding out and a Paul Goldschmidt error helped the Dodgers score some more.
