The Washington Nationals keep on beating up everyone in the NL East courtesy of another Bryce Harper home run while the Chicago Cubs, with the second best record in the NL and the majors, went back to their winning ways with quality pitching from Jake Arrieta along with a nice dose of home run power.

Colorado Rockies 2  Chicago Cubs 6: Back to winning, which always happens with Jake Arrieta on the mound. He’s 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA following 8 scoreless innings in which he struck out 8. Anthony Rizzo, Jorge Soler and Dexter Fowler hit one home run each, including a three-run homer by Fowler, who is hitting .417 so far this season.

Seattle Mariners 3  New York Yankees 2: The Yankees continue to lose, dropping a fourth in a row. Felix Hernandez picks up his first win of the season despite pulling off his weakest performance so far. Carlos Beltran had both RBIs for the Yankees, while the Mariners were sandwiched between his hits, getting RBIs from Robinson Cano, Nelson Cruz and a home run from Leonys Martin.

Los Angeles Angels 2  Minnesota Twins 9: The Twins win two in a row, getting 7 innings out of Ricky Nolasco. They finally showed consistent offense (10 hits) as Trevor Plouffe, Oswaldo Arcia and Byung Ho Park hit one home run each.

Cincinnati Reds 9  St. Louis Cardinals 8: The Cards had a 4-0 lead in the second inning after a three-run homer by Stephen Piscotty, but the Reds came back with a whole lot of offense (15-for-40), including a home run by Jay Bruce, making it to three home runs and 12 RBIs this season so far.

Toronto Blue Jays 2  Boston Red Sox 4: A third win in a row for the Red Sox, as David Price looked great against his former team, putting in 7 innings with 9 strikeouts. Xavier Bogaerts picked up his first home run of the season, a three-run homer in the third inning to put the Red Sox in the lead.

Kansas City Royals 3  Oakland Athletics 5: The Royals always lose with Chris Young on the mound (0-3, 7.90 ERA). Josh Reddick and Stephen Vogt powered through with a home run each to support the Sonny Gray start, finishing with 6 strikeouts in 6 innings.

New York Mets 5  Cleveland Indians 7: Another rough start for Matt Harvey, who is now 0-3 this season with a 5.71 ERA. Mike Napoli had two hits and two RBIs and Jason Kipnis was 2-for-4 as well at the plate.

Chicago White Sox 2  Tampa Bay Rays 7: The Rays finally win a game, getting great pitching from Erasmo Ramirez in 5.2 innings including 4 strikeouts, no walks and three hits. Offense was provided by Brad Miller with a two run homer and three RBIs overall. Brandon Guyer and Desmond Jennings also hit home runs.

Washington Nationals 8  Philadelphia Phillies 1: Max Scherzer struck out 7 in 7 while Bryce Harper continues to work his magic, hitting his fifth home run of the season. Scherzer himself had two RBIs thanks to his deep right double in the fourth. Chris Heisey came on to pinch hit and got a home run, his first of the season.

Milwaukee Brewers 0  Pittsburgh Pirates 5: Jonathon Niese gave up only three hits in 7 innings, Andrew McCutchen his first home run of the season while Josh Harrison finished with two RBIs, one off of a triple and the other off a single.

Detroit Tigers 7  Houston Astros 3: The Tigers had 15 hits, 10 of them off of Collin McHugh. Justin Verlander struck out 8 in six innings and Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit his third home run of the season.

Atlanta Braves 6  Miami Marlins 4: The Braves win two in a row just like the Twins. Nick Markakis scored three RBIs through two separate occasions and Kelly Johnson finally looked difficult to pitch against, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Baltimore Orioles 4  Texas Rangers 8: A lot of offense in this game (24 combined hits), but most of it came from the fifth inning onward, as the Rangers took a 1-4 deficit and turned it into a big win, with both Adrian Beltre and Rougned Odor picking up two RBIs each.

Arizona Diamondbacks 3  San Diego Padres 5: A nice start from Andrew Cashner, allowing 4 hits in six innings and striking out 5. The Diamondbacks started Shelby Miller but cuts on his finger and hand took him out before the end of the second inning. The game went the distance, until a Justin Upton home run in the 14th sent everyone home.

San Francisco Giants 4  Los Angeles Dodgers 3: The Giants started strong (took a 4-0 lead into the 7th) and managed to hang on thanks to some strong relief, including Santiago Casilla in the ninth. Johnny Cueto looked very good again, striking out 7 in 7.1 innings, giving up three hits, walking two and allowing one run.
