The Washington Nationals keep beating up on the weakest that both leagues have to offer, the Baltimore Orioles look great against World Series champions the Kansas City Royals and the Chicago White Sox carry on with their slightly surprising start to the season, in a good way that is.

Los Angeles Dodgers 4  Colorado Rockies 1: Kenta Maeda continues his fantastic debut season in Major League Baseball, improving to 3-0 and a 0.36 ERA by giving up three hits and striking out eight in six innings. A.J. Ellis provided the best bit of offense with a two-run homer.

Chicago Cubs 5  Cincinnati Reds 13: After getting destroyed by the Cubs, the Reds finally get one back. John Lackey struggled in less than six innings, giving up 7 hits and 6 runs. Eugenio Suarez, Adam Duvall, Scott Schebler and Joey Votto all hit home runs, as the Reds moved back to .500.

Tampa Bay Rays 2  New York Yankees 3: Second win in a row for the Yankees, getting a good start from Masahiro Tanaka and a winning close from Andrew Miller. After going down 1-2 in the fifth, Brett Gardner won it for the Yankees, reaching second on a scoring infield single and hitting a 9th inning home run to break the deadlock.

Minnesota Twins 0  Washington Nationals 2: The Nationals blank the Twins as Tanner Roark strikes out 15 batters in seven innings while allowing only two hits. The Nationals got their points early, with a Ryan Zimmerman single that scored two.

Oakland Athletics 3  Toronto Blue Jays 10: Josh Donaldson had a three-RBI home run, his 7th overall of the season, while Troy Tulowitzki hit a couple of 420-feet homers, making it four this season, and being part of the overall power abuse the A’s went through.

Cleveland Indians 10  Detroit Tigers 1: Corey Kluber finally has a win this season, striking out 10 in eight innings, while the Indians got 15 hits to the Tigers 2, including five RBIs by Yan Gomes, including his second home run of the season.

Texans Rangers 3  Chicago White Sox 4: Carlos Rodon struck out 7 for the White Sox and after some bullpen struggles, Matt Albers came on to finish the job. Melky Cabrera and Todd Frazier both hit home runs for the White Sox, but the game was won in the 11th inning off of a single from Jose Abreu.

Boston Red Sox 3  Houston Astros 8: Colby Rasmus hit a grand slam home run and finished with 5 RBIs to spearhead the Astros win. On the mound, Mike Fiers got the win although he didn’t make it out of the sixth inning.

Philadelphia Phillies 10  Milwaukee Brewers 6: The Phillies had to dive deep into their bullpen after Charlie Morton strained his left hamstring. It didn’t hurt them eventually thanks to home runs from Maikel Franco and Odubel Herrera.

New York Mets 8  Atlanta Braves 2: Steven Matz struck out 8 in just over six innings, Neil Walker hit his 7th home run of the season, Asdrubal Cabrera hit his first and David Wright finished with a couple of RBIs.

Baltimore Orioles 8  Kansas City Royals 3: A big day for Chris Davis with his sixth home run of the season and four hits overall, while Mike Trumbo got four RBIs on three hits.

Pittsburgh Pirates 1  Arizona Diamondbacks 7: Chris Hermann finished with four RBIs thanks to a three run homer and another scoring single. On the mound, Rubby de la Rosa got his first win, striking out six in six innings, giving up just three hits and one run.

St. Louis Cardinals 11  San Diego Padres 2: The Cards got 16 hits, scoring 10 runs in the final three innings. Matt Carpenter made it a 2-2 game in the 7th, followed by a Jeremy Hazelbaker three-run homer that put them in the lead for good.

Seattle Mariners 2  Los Angeles Angels 4: A Nelson Cruz home run in the sixth game the Mariners a 2-1 lead, but Mike Trout responded with a two-run homer of his own, followed by the clincher from Kole Calhoun with an RBI single. Felix Hernandez gave up three runs in seven innings and struck out four, picking up loss number two for him this season.
