Hanley Ramirez Home Run

The winning streak of the Chicago Cubs might not be the smoothers, but it keeps going with some impressive offense being produced. In the American League, no one is hotter right now than the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox.

Kansas City Royals 7  New York Yankees 10: The Yankees win consecutive games which is a rarity this season. Aroldis Chapman got his first save of the season in back to back appearances, while offense came from Didi Gregorius, Dustin Ackley and Brian McCann, including late scoring by him and Brett Gardner to pull away for good.

Detroit Tigers 5  Washington Nationals 4: Nick Castellanos hit his 7th home run of the season, and with the rest of the order it was enough to overcome Ryan Zimmerman hitting a couple of home runs himself.

Oakland Athletics 5  Boston Red Sox 13: Third win in a row for the Red Sox, carrying on with their offensive eruptions. Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez and Travis Shaw hit home runs, as the Red Sox took an 11-0 lead before the A’s got some runs on their side.

San Diego Padres 7  Chicago Cubs 8: A look-like comfortable win turned into something a bit more complicated due to a late grand slam home run by Alex Dickerson, but overall, the offense Addison Russell, Ben Zobrist and Jayson Heyward was too much for the Padres.

Philadelphia Phillies 3  Atlanta Braves 2: Adam Morgan pitched seven innings, allowing just four hits while striking out four. Maikel Franco hit a home run for the Phillies, while the Braves sink lower and lower in an embarrassing season so far.

Milwaukee Brewers 10  Miami Marlins 2: From time to time, the offensive talent the Brewers have will show. Ryan Braun, Jonathan Villar and Aaron Hill each had a couple of RBIs, while Zach Davies (1-3, 6.29 ERA) picked up his first win as a pitcher this season.

Chicago White Sox 11  Texas Rangers 13: A combined 30 hits for both teams, with a seven-run eighth for the Rangers deciding the game. Bryan Holaday, Ian Desmond and Ryan Rua hit home runs, with Rua’s three-run homer being the hit that put them on top.

Baltimore Orioles 5  Minnesota Twins 3: Kevin Gausman struck out nine batters in his start, but the relief work of Darren O’Day and Zach Britton was more efficient. Manny Machado and Adam Jones stood out with home runs.

Cleveland Indians 4  Houston Astros 0: Trevor Bauer is now 3-0 this season, striking out 7 in 7 innings while allowing only three hits. The Indians scored twice in the second and twice in the 8th, including the 21st RBI this season for Mike Napoli.

Arizona Diamondbacks 5  Colorado Rockies 1: Rubby De La Rosa allowed just four hits in 7.1 innings, while Paul Goldschmidt hit his 7th home run of the season, keeping the Diamondbacks close to the Dodgers in the NL West.

St. Louis Cardinals 8  Los Angeles Angels 1: This season is getting sadder for the Angels, struggling to do much against Mike Leake with 8 innings of work to get the win. Matt Carpenter hit two solo home runs for the Cardinals, Matt Holliday and Randal Grichuk helped out.

Tampa Bay Rays 4  Seattle Mariners 6: Franklin Gutierrez and Dae-Ho Lee provided the power with a home run for both of them, while Steve Cishek picked up save number 11 this season, striking out three in his relief appearance.

New York Mets 2  Los Angeles Dodgers 3: Alex Wood struck out nine batters in his start while Kenley Jansen ended up with the win. A home run with two-out by Trayce Thompson gave the Dodgers the walk-off win.

Toronto Blue Jays 4  San Francisco Giants 0: J.A. Happ looked great, one inning shy of a nine-inning shutout. Meanwhile, Matt Cain sinks lower despite giving up just two runs in eight innings, falling to 0-5 this season. Troy Tulowitzki hit his sixth home run of the season, finishing with three RBIs.
