The NBA playoffs seem to bring out the best of artist Ryan Simpson, who has been making some brilliant portraits of NBA stars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

Simpson, an illustrator out of Charlotte who happens to be a big NBA fan, is posting his work on his website and you can also follow his art on Instagram. In his most recent batch (which we’re displaying here) he features players playing or or were playing in the 2016 NBA playoffs: James, Curry, Durant, Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Dwyane Wade and Isaiah Thomas.

In the past he’s done plenty of other NBA players and basketball icons like Dean Smith. My personal favorites of his are two Charlotte Hornets throwbacks: Larry Johnson with Muggsy Bogues, and Dell Curry with Steph.
