After the New York Yankees finally lost, the hottest team in Baseball right now are the Boston Red Sox with the non-stop hitting Jackie Bradley Jr. and the San Francisco Giants, mostly relying on their pitching to pull them through.

New York Mets 2  Washington Nationals 0: Steven Matz pitched eight innings, giving up only four hits while striking out seven. A home run from David Wright in the first and a single by Rene Rivera later on took care of the offense.

Philadelphia Phillies 8  Detroit Tigers 5: A three-run homer by Odubel Herrera kept the Phillies in front for the rest of the game, each time the Tigers got close pushing forward, while Peter Bourjos finished with two RBIs, including one off of a home run.

Kansas City Royals 5  Minnesota Twins 7: The Royals had a two run lead in the 4th, but a double by Eduardo Nunez, a home run by Miguel Sano and scoring single by Byung Ho Park turned things around for a team that rarely sees wins this season.

Los Angeles Angels 9  Texas Rangers 15: All nine lineup players for the Rangers got at least one hit, including a solo home run and three RBIs for Nomar Mazara and a 4-for-4 day for Bobby Wilson.

Chicago Cubs 9  St. Louis Cardinals 8: Jake Arrieta improves to 9-0 this season despite not having the best of days on the mound. That’s what offense is for: Kris Bryant hit a three-run homer that gave the Cubs a five-run lead in the 6th, enough to pull them through.

Cleveland Indians 4  Chicago White Sox 3: The Indians beat the White Sox again, this time behind Corey Kluber striking out nine. Cody Allen had a strong closing inning, as a Lonnie Chisenhall triple early on, scoring two runners, gave the Indians the head start they needed.

San Diego Padres 3  San Francisco Giants 4: Jake Peavy didn’t get the win because of Josh Osich doing a poor job after him, but the Giants regrouped, eventually winning in the 10th thanks to a walk off single by Brandon Crawford.

Toronto Blue Jays 8  New York Yankees 4: The Blue Jays stop the longest winning streak in the majors, with two home runs by Russell Martin and another big hit from Michael Saunders. The Yankees hit three home runs in the final three innings, but it was too late.

Arizona Diamondbacks 4  Pittsburgh Pirates 5: Rubby De La Rosa had a rough day on the mound, not making it out of the fifth inning. Jeff Locke made it past six despite giving up four runs, as the Pirates stormed from three runs behind to win the game, thanks to David Freese and a two-run homer to tie the game and take the lead.

Colorado Rockies 3  Boston Red Sox 10: Jackie Bradley Jr. now has 29 consecutive games with a hit (2-for-4, one RBI) while Xander Bogaerts hit a home run and Travis Shaw drives in three runs himself for the best team in the AL.

Milwaukee Brewers 3  Atlanta Braves 2: The Brewers win it in the 13th, as Jonathan Villar hit a single to left, scoring  Aaron Hill. Villar also got the first RBI of the game with a sac fly.

Miami Marlins 4  Tampa Bay Rays 3: An 8th inning RBI single by Cole Gillespie broke a 3-3 tie to give the Marlins the win, while A.J. Ramos finished the job on the mound for the 15th time this season.

Baltimore Orioles 3  Houston Astros 4: Another close one ending on a tiebreaking hit, this one coming from Luis Valbuena in the 8th, hitting his 4th home run of the season. Luke Gregerson closed it with a couple of k’s in the ninth.

Oakland Athletics 3  Seattle Mariners 13: Hisashi Iwakuma threw for seven innings in the win (3-4, 4.33 ERA) while Adam Lind hit two home runs, Nelson Cruz hit his 10th of the season and Robinson Cano got to number 14.

Cincinnati Reds 1  Los Angeles Dodgers 3: Scott Kazmir struck out 12 in his finest performance for the Dodgers in 2016 (Dan Straily struck out 11 for the Reds) and the offense got by on a Joc Pederson RBI and a home run from Yasmani Grandal.
