Another win for the Chicago Cubs, sweeping the Cincinnati Reds, while the longest streak of this baseball season grows longer, with the Cleveland Indians shutting out the Atlanta Braves.

Boston Red Sox 0  Tampa Bay Rays 4: WHile he’s on the trading block, Matt Moore was fantastic in 7 innings, shutting out the Red Sox, allowing only three hits (had 5 all game). Brandon Guyer hit a home run, followed by an RBI double.

Miami Marlins 3  Detroit Tigers 10: A big day for Miguel Cabrera with 3 RBIs. One of them off a solo home run, the two others through RBI singles. Daniel Norris picked up his first win this season with a solid start.

Toronto Blue Jays 5  Colorado Rockies 3: Josh Donaldson hit a two-out homer early on to give the Blue Jays a two run lead, and the Rockies struggled keeping up with Toronto until it was too late.

Houston Astros 10  Los Angeles Angels 4: A big day for Jose Altuve with four hits and four runs, while picking up one RBI. George Springer hit home run number 17 for the season, Luis Valbuena added one of his own.

Chicago Cubs 9  Cincinnati Reds 2: The Cubs complete a three game sweep of the Reds, with Anthony Rizzo hitting home run number 19 for the season, and inside the park homer that scored two to kick things off the right way.

Baltimore Orioles 12  San Diego Padres 6: The Orioles bats have been working overtime lately, getting a two-run homer from Mike Trumbo, his 23rd of the season, finishing with four RBIs. Manny Machado added 3 RBIs with two hits, one of them a ground rule double that scored two. Yovani Gallardo had one of his better performances this season: Still giving up 3 runs, but striking out 6, and getting the win.

Philadelphia Phillies 9  Arizona Diamondbacks 8: The Phillies get the sweep, needing 10 innings to complete it. Tyler Goeddel hit a sacrifice fly that scored Peter Bourjos, and Brett Oberholtzer came on to pick up the save.

New York Mets 2  Washington Nationals 4: Daniel Murphy hit two home runs to finish with 3 RBIs, while Max Scherzer looked great in 7.1 innings of work, allowing only two hits and striking out 10.

Texas Rangers 7  New York Yankees 9: The Yankees score six runs in the ninth to complete a massive comeback, ending the game on a two-run, walk-off home run by Didi Gregorius.

Cleveland Indians 3  Atlanta Braves 0: With Danny Salazar on the mound, the Indians don’t need much offense to beat the Braves. Win number 12 in a row, with Salazar getting 8 k’s and Lonnie Chisenhall keeping his home run form going.

Minnesota Twins 6  Chicago White Sox 9: James Shields gets his first win for the White Sox, striking out five in 6.2 innings, allowing one run. Brett Lawrie, Tyler Saladino and Todd Frazier hit home runs, with the White Sox at .500 again.

Los Angeles Dodgers 0  Milwaukee Brewers 7: Another rough outing for the struggling Dodgers, getting only two hits the entire game, mostly haunted by Junior Guerra. Ryan Braun finished with 4 RBIs, including his 13th home run of the season.

Kansas City Royals 3  St. Louis Cardinals 2: Runs only started coming in the 8th, as the game dragged on into the 12th inning. Then, Alcides Escobar hitting a double was enough for the winning run, as Chien Ming Wang did a great job of closing the game.

San Francisco Giants 1  Oakland Athletics 7: Jake Peavy has enough rough game to add to the growing list of those this season. He gave up two two-run homers this time, with with Jed Lowrie and Yonder Alonso hitting the long balls.

Pittsburgh Pirates 8  Seattle Mariners 1: Jameson Taillon does a good job with 6 k’s in 6 innings, while the bats of Sean Rodriguez, David Freese and Josh Harrison do most of the work on offense.
