Chicago Cubs 3 New York Mets 4: The Cubs lose their third in a row to the Mets, with Jake Arrieta struggling, not completing six innings. A Neil Walker home run opened things well for the Mets, and after the game was tied by Anthony Rizzo, Travis d’Arnaud hit a two-run single to give them the lead for good.
Cleveland Indians 6 Toronto Blue Jays 9: The streak of 14 straight wins is over, with a big decision in the 8th inning probably winning it for the Blue Jays. Initially called an out, Ezequiel Herrera sliding was ruled safe after replay, and their three runs in the inning gave them the win. Edwin Encarnacion, Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki hit home runs for the Blue Jays.
Texas Rangers 5 Minnesota Twins 17: The Rangers could have gone to the top spot in the majors, but got crushed in Minnesota, with Max Kepler hitting two home runs and Miguel Sano adding one of his own.
Milwaukee Brewers 0 St. Louis Cardinals 3: Adam Wainwright leads the shutout with good 7 innings of work, while offense was taken care of by Kolten Wong with a triple and two RBIs.
Miami Marlins 1 Atlanta Braves 9: Jace Peterson hit a three run homer, Freddie Freeman hits a two-run long ball, and Jose Fernandez, allowing nine runs, had a day to forget in an overall good season.

Baltimore Orioles 6 Seattle Mariners 12: Big home run day for the Mariners, with Mike Zunino hitting two of them, joined by Nelson Cruz, Seth Smith and Adam Lind.
Colorado Rockies 1 Los Angeles Dodgers 6: The Dodgers’ pitching is looking great since Clayton Kershaw has been injured. Scott Kazmir allowed three hits and struck out 10 in six innings of work, Adrian Gonzalez had two RBIs for the Dodgers.
