The Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers all enjoy dramatic walk off wins, while Jay Bruce hit two home runs to upset the San Francisco Giants, and Adrian Beltre had his big moment with a game winning homer for the Rangers against the Athletics. Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox are suddenly surging, winning their last three games with walk off hits, this time against the Chicago Cubs.
Detroit Tigers 4 Â Boston Red Sox 2:Â Drew Pomeranz’ second start for the Red Sox was better, but this time he lost, with a two run homer by Jose Iglesias giving the Tigers the lead, which they didn’t relinquish. Justin Verlander picked up the win (10-6), striking out five in 6 innings.
Colorado Rockies 2  Baltimore Orioles 3: Adam Jones opened the scoring for the Orioles and also tied the game in the 7th innings. In extra innings (10th to be exact), it was Jones again, taking advantage of an error by Jordan Lyles to win the game.
Chicago Cubs 4 Â Chicago White Sox 5:Â The White Sox are suddenly scorching, winning a third consecutive game by one run in the ninth inning, this time a walk off single by Tyler Saladino, while Todd Frazier hit his 29th home run of the season.
San Diego Padres 2 Â Toronto Blue Jays 4:Â Aaron Sanchez had another great start (11-1), striking out 7 while giving up just three hits, as the Blue Jays won their second in a row, staying on the tale of the Red Sox and Orioles.
Philadelphia Phillies 4 Â Miami Marlins 0:Â Jeremy Hellickson dominated, giving up one hit in six innings, against a team he might be playing for soon. The Phillies didn’t score until the 8th inning, but Fernando Rodney lost control of the game, followed by A.J. Ramos melting down.
Arizona Diamondbacks 2 Â Milwaukee Brewers 7:Â Through four innings, the Diamondbacks twice tied the game, but a Ryan Braun single in the 5th opened the lead once more, followed by the finishing blow: A three-run homer by Martin Maldonado.
Oakland Athletics 6 Â Texas Rangers 7:Â A sweet, sweet finish for the Rangers and especially Adrian Beltre, bringing Texas within one run in the 7th with a home run, and then hitting a walk off, two-run homer in the ninth, making it to 16 this season.
New York Yankees 2 Â Houston Astros 1:Â The Yankees win again, this time relying on an RBI double from Austin Romine to win it, countering the home run from George Springer to start the game. Michael Pineda looked good, striking out 8 in 7 innings, while Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller closed and saved, with Aroldis Chapman gone.
