The Chicago Cubs continue with their dominant post All-Star form in another win over the Miami Marlins, the Washington Nationals enjoy another stroll against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Detroit Tigers narrow the distance from the Cleveland Indians and the Baltimore Orioles remain on top of the AL East with some great work against the Texas Rangers.

Texas Rangers 1  Baltimore Orioles 5: Dylan Bundy allows just one hit while striking out 7 in 7 innings, helped out by four home runs, including two by Pedro Alvarez and number 21 this season for Adam Jones.

San Francisco Giants 8  Philadelphia Phillies 13: After mostly trading home runs, the Giants sat on a 8-7 lead, but singles from Maikel Franco and Aaron Altherr put the Phillies on top, and then Cameron Rupp hit a three-run homer that finished the job.

Minnesota Twins 10  Cleveland Indians 6: The home run prowess of Max Kepler continues to shine, hitting his 15th of the season as the Twins clobbered the Indians early to take a 8-0 lead, and it wasn’t difficult from there. It was their third straight win.

Miami Marlins 2  Chicago Cubs 3: Jason Hammel had a good start, Aroldis Chapman did what’s expected of him in the finish. Wilson Contreras, Anthony Rizzo and Dexter Fowler brought the offense early, before the Marlins made a dent in the lead, but nothing more.

Chicago White Sox 5  Detroit Tigers 11: The Tigers pick up their 7th straight win despite nothing special from Anibal Sanchez on the mound. MIguel Cabrera drove in two with his 24th home run of the season, finishing with another RBI thanks to a scoring double.

Pittsburgh Pirates 5  Atlanta Braves 3: The Pirates had 5 hits, and they all counted for something, including a two-RBI single by Adam Frazier, and a winning start from Gerrit Cole.

St. Louis Cardinals 5  Cincinnati Reds 7: After two home runs in the 8th inning, the Cardinals had a two run lead heading into the ninth, but a three-run homer by Scott Schebler gave the Reds the walk off win, and sent the Cardinals to a third straight loss.

New York Yankees 1  New York Mets 7: Jacob DeGrom strikes out 8 while allowing four hits in 7 innings of work, while home runs from Alejandro De Aza and Travis d’Arnaud did most of the work on offense.

Kansas City Royals 3  Tampa Bay Rays 2: The Royals, unbelievably, are actually on a winning streak, as the struggling Chris Young get a win in relief, and home runs from Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez do most of the heavy lifting.

Toronto Blue Jays 2  Houston Astros 1: R.A. Dickey had a 7-inning performance, striking out 5. Home runs from Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion did the offense work, while the Astros struggled getting anyone in scoring positions.

Los Angeles Dodgers 3  Colorado Rockies 7: Brandon McCarthy has a very rough day, and his bullpen wasn’t hot either, while Carlos Gonzalez picks up four RBIs off of three hits, as the Rockies don’t hit a homerun, a rare occasion. Jon Gray got the win in five innings of work, striking out 6.

Washington Nationals 10  Arizona Diamondbacks 4: Tanner Roark struck out 6 in 6.1 innings, while Wilson Ramos, Chris Heisey and Jayson Werth enjoyed the bad Diamondbacks pitching to each hit a home run.

Oakland Athletics 4  Los Angeles Angels 5: The A’s hit three home runs, the Angels hit two. It was still enough, with a two run homer from Jett Bandy and a three run homer by Jefry Marte.

Boston Red Sox 4  Seattle Mariners 5: The Mariners were down by 4 runs after the top of the 8th, but a home run by MIke Zunino gave them some hope, a single by Guillermo Heredia gave them a shot, and a three-run homer by Robinson Cano won the game.

Milwaukee Brewers 3  San Diego Padres 2: Ryan Braun hits his 15th home run of the season, while Tyler Thornburg does a great job of closing the game, striking out two in his save inning.
