What a night for Dwight Howard how is enjoying the best season of his career, averaging 22.9 points, 14 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. His Orlando Magic broke a nine season losing streak to the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix, being Dwight Howard’s first win in Arizona against the Suns, the only NBA city he never experienced a win in.

The Suns were without Steve Nash, making things a lot easier as the Magic rolled to a 111-88 win with Vince Carter scoring 11 in the losing effort against his former team. Howard was beastly, as usual, scoring 26 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and finished with 5 blocks. He also topped 10,000 career points. He is second on the Magic’s all-time scoring list, 600 points behind Nick Anderson. He already leads the Magic’s all-time lists in rebounds, blocks but also turnovers and personal fouls.

He won’t win the MVP this year. I doubt he ever will. Probably another defensive player of the year award. The bigger picture – NBA title? Howard needs to be monster like every night in the playoffs, especially when it’ll be Miami-Boston-Bulls. His supporting crew just isn’t good enough. And I don’t think anybody has it in him to carry a team alone, offensively and defensively, through four playoff series’.
