College Basketball Upsets – North Carolina, UCLA & Florida Go Down
The Battle 4 Atlantis provided three upsets of ranked teams in the same day: North Carolina lost to Butler 74-66, Oklahoma surprised UCLA with a 75-65 victory and Georgetown remained undefeated, handing Florida their second loss of the season, beating the Gators 66-65 in overtime off of a D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera winning jumper.

College Basketball – Arizona & Villanova Stay Undefeated Against Kansas State & Michigan
Most of the games early in the college basketball season are just to pad up your record. Sometimes it’s about more. Arizona took on a tough Kansas State team and overcame in the Maui Invitational Semis, winning 72-68 to remain perfect so far. Villanova faced a ranked Michigan team in the Legends Classic in New York, walking away with the 60-55 win, also staying undefeated.

Creighton Over Oklahoma – The First Real Ranked Upset of the Season
The Bluejays aren’t getting the love they did in the polls last season, but beating them at home is still incredibly difficult. Creighton pulled off the first big upset over a ranked team this season by beating Oklahoma (number 18) 65-63 in the loud and very difficult to play in CenturyLink Center.

Kentucky Over Kansas – Scary Good Way Too Early
It might not be a team with a number one overall pick in it, but Kentucky, with John Calipari doing the recruiting, have probably assembled the deepest and most talented team in the nation by far, with ten players that would start on any other squad in the country, unleashing their size and defense on Kansas, walking away with the 72-40 win.

Kentucky Wildcats – John Calipari Staying For a Very Long Time
Good College Basketball coaches work through rumors of the NBA trying to get them. John Calipari might know how that’s like better than anyone else, but his new contract that keeps him in Kentucky until 2021, with a salary that makes him better paid than most pro head coaches, was put in place to deny any suggestions of him going anywhere else.
-
UConn Huskies – Kevin Ollie Isn’t Going Anywhere
Rumors tied Kevin Ollie to almost every vacant coaching job in the NBA, but the UConn Huskies have kept the head coach that led them to the national title in 2014, signing him to a five-year contract that will pay him around $3 million a season.

More Players Declaring Early for the 2014 NBA Draft
More underclassmen are declaring for the 2014 NBA Draft as the deadline approaches, with the two Arizona stars, Aaron Gordon and Nick Johnson, joining those who have already made the choice. Michigan also lose two big time players in Nik Stauskas and Glenn Robinson III, both leaving after two years.

Players Declaring Early for the 2014 NBA Draft So Far
There’s still time for players to declare themselves eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft, but we’ve already got pretty big names coming forward like Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid from Kansas after only one year, while Marcus Smart also heads to the pros, probably a year too late.

College Basketball: Final Rankings of the 2013-2014 Season
The end to the 2014 NCAA Tournament means the end of the College Basketball season as well, and final rankings being handed out. Traditionally, the national champions, UConn, get the number one spot with the losers in the final, Kentucky, taking the runner-up position, although it’s probably clear to most they weren’t the best teams in the country.
