Arizona Over San Diego State – Defense Makes All the Difference
Three things make Arizona great and national championship material: Their defense, Aaron Gordon and Nick Johnson. Kentucky Over Wichita State – One and Done Ain’t so Bad
It’s hard to say what was the more meaningful statement from Kentucky beating Wichita State and moving on to the Sweet Sixteen. That John Calipari and his players aren’t as bad as the critics loved to say, or that the undefeated run from the Shockers has ended way earlier than anyone expected it to.
-
Iowa State Over North Carolina – Injuries Make You Stronger
In probably the best game of the NCAA tournament so far, DeAndre Kane proved to be the hero for Iowa State in a dramatic 85-83 win over North Carolina, which ended with a little bit of controversy due to an uncalled timeout, but didn’t deny the Cyclones their trip to the Sweet Sixteen.
