Napoli, despite not having the name and experience in the Champions League the Chelsea do, were the favorites coming in to the first leg and came out as the deserved winners with Ezequiel Lavezzi scoring twice and Edinson Cavani with one of his own, cancelling Juan Manuel Mata and the surprising opening goal, winning 3-1 which should put them in the quarter finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo Goal Not Enough For Real Madrid to Win First Leg
Cristiano Ronaldo opened, Pontus Wernbloom closed. Real Madrid led throughout most of the match on a frozen Moscow pitch but playing too careful and too defensive instead of finishing the match hurt them in the end, ending the first leg against CSKA in a 1-1 draw, which gives them the obvious advantage for the second leg decider.
