  • Lakers Will Benefit From Limiting Bryant

Kobe Bryant doesn’t like players from his own team stealing his thunder, so he continued to shoot an incredible number of shots, this time actually hitting about half of them, finishing with 37 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers (4-3) to a 108-99 win over the Houston Rockets (2-3).

  • Tracy McGrady and Zone Defense End Perfection for Heat

LeBron James had his usual impressive stat line (28 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists) but Dwyane Wade struggled with his shooting, the Heat struggled with their offense and Tracy McGrady came up big in the fourth quarter to lead the Altanta Hawks (4-1) in a 100-92 win, the Miami Heat’s first loss of the season.

  • Mavs Finally Produce Four Quarters of Good Basketball

Dirk Nowitzki led the way, as usual, with 26 points, but this time, the rest of his Dallas Mavericks teammates followed with energy and hustle, becoming the first team to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder this season (100-87), as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook just didn’t get enough help from the rest.

  • Paul and the Clippers More Than Just Lob City

Chris Paul has started to pay dividends for the trade that brought him over to the Los Angeles Clippers, carrying the Clips to a hard earned 93-88 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, coming up with all the big plays in the final minutes to secure the win.

  • Rubio and the Timberwolves are the Real Deal

Ricky Rubio continued to impress with his passing skills and overall ability to run the team’s offense, while Kevin Love did everything, from hitting threes to crashing the boards, as usual. The Minnesota Timberwolves ran the slow, old and slightly pathetic Dallas Mavericks off the floor with a 99-82 win.

  • Andrew Bynum Means That Much to the Lakers

Andrew Bynum came back from suspension like a new man, leading the Los Angeles Lakers (3-2) to a 92-89 win over the Denver Nuggets (2-2) with an impressive 29 points, 13 rebounds night, as Kobe Bryant was struggling with an injured wrist.

  • Derrick Rose Proves He’s the Best Point Guard in the NBA

Derrick Rose was just too much for Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers (1-2) to handle, scoring 29 points and dishing 16 assists, leading the Chicago Bulls (3-1) to a 114-101 win in LA.

  • Dwyane Wade Clutch = Miami Heat Perfect

Dwyane Wade was the lowest scorer of the big three in yet another Miami Heat away win written on his name, hitting the game winning shot for the second time this week, leaving the improving Minnesota Timberwolves win-less in another brilliant LeBron James night.

  • Kobe Bryant Can Still Win Some Games On His Own

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers played their best game of the season, beating the limited New York Knicks 99-82 to make it 2-2 so far this season. Bryant had little help in the scoring department, and he won’t, probably, all season long.

  • Durant Buzzer Beater Worsens Mavs’ Woes

Kevin Durant put all the Russell Westbrook nonsense behind him and gave another fantastic offensive show, scoring 30 points, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 104-102 win over the struggling Dallas Mavericks, hitting the game winning three pointer to boot.
