    Fernando Torres has been a complete and utter failure for Chelsea since arriving from Liverpool for the ridiculous fee of £50 million just over a year a year ago. There’s no way of sugarcoating it, because strikers, no matter how well they play, need to score goals. And Torres hasn’t been playing that well anyway.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic needs to put all the Champions League criticism behind him, and his sublime performance against Arsenal, leading AC Milan to a 4-0 thrashing of a helpless and confused Arsenal side with one goal and two assists, was a good start on his way to the Champions League quarter finals.

  • Sad State of Rangers and the SPL

    Rangers FC, or Glasgow Rangers as many refer to the club, 54 times Scottish champions and the winners of the SPL for the last three seasons, have gone into administration. Unpaid tax bills that reach the incredible sum of £84 million in two seperated disputes mean a grim future for the club, the Scottish Premeir League and even Celtic and the Old Firm derby.

  • Alexis and Messi Too Much for Bayer (Leverkusen vs Barcelona)

    Lionel Messi added a third and final dagger in the closing minutes to make sure Leverkusen had no chance of having any hope of coming out for the first leg with at least a draw, and no chance of making the Champions League quarter finals this season, joining Alexis’ double to give Barcelona a 3-1 win in the first leg.

    Chelsea had a 3-0 lead over Manchester United in their Premier League clash just over a week ago, but somehow (Howard Webb?) managed to only manage a 3-3 draw, and instead of getting a new boost to their 2011-2012 campaign, Andre Villas-Boas looks more and more like the man to pay for this very disappointing season so far.

  • Patrick Vieira Presents the Anti Manchester City Conspiracy Theory

    Manchester City lead the Premier League by two points, despite at certain points during the season clearly showing they are the top side in England, and not just in their bank account but by quality of football, right, even better then the never ending Manchester United. According to Patrick Vieira, a possible conspiracy to stop them from winning the title could eventually derail Roberto Mancini and his title aspirations.

  • How Does Howard Webb Sleep at Night?

    Howard Webb keeps messing up, and it keeps happening in favor of Manchester United. Alex Ferguson immediately went out on the attack, complaining the linesman screwed Manchester United in their 3-3 draw again Chelsea, but it was a poor attempt at deflecting the usual post-match criticism of the, currently, worst referee in the Premier League.

  • Anfield, Liverpool and Visiting “Big” Clubs Create Another Draw

    Liverpool made it their 8th draw in 12 home games this season. They still haven’t lost at Anfield, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham all dropping points, but they haven’t won much either. The 0-0 draw against Spurs was more of the same in a disappointing season for Kenny Dalglish’s side.

    Liverpool and Manchester United clashes are now compared to wars, or warring countries, as the constant demand for peace, from both sides, mostly due to the events that led to Luis Suarez getting banned for his racial abuse of Patrice Evra, and the way Kenny Dalglish, the Liverpool players and the club have handled the aftermath of the incident.

  • Finally a Clasico That Real Madrid Deserved to Win

    Real Madrid made a point, proved and surprised everyone with their ability to actually dominate a game against Barcelona, even at the Camp Nou. Forget about talks of Barca taking it easy because of their away lead or anything like that. Real’s resistance game came exactly at the right time, even if it didn’t get them a win and a semi final.
