Getting pushed against a wall often brings out the best in teams, and thanks to a big night from Paul George and Luis Scola, the Indiana Pacers are tied at 1-1 with the Atlanta Hawks in their first round NBA Playoffs series following a 101-85 win, suggesting to everyone that it was too soon to give up on them.

10 Oldest Players in the 2014 NBA Playoffs
Older teams are usually more successful when it comes to winning NBA titles, so there’s no surprise quite a few teams in the NBA playoffs have two or more veterans among the top 10 oldest players in the postseason, with the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls and the San Antonio Spurs each represented by two players on this list.

NBA Playoffs – Game 2 Predictions (Wizards vs Bulls, Hawks vs Pacers, Nets vs Raptors)
The NBA Playoffs continue with three series in which the road team was able to steal home court advantage and head into game 2 with a lot less pressure on their shoulders: The Washington Wizards visiting the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks playing the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets facing the Toronto Raptors.

Clippers Over Warriors – A Game 2 Humiliation
The bad blood will between the two teams will now get an extra injection from the humiliating experience the Golden State Warriors went through in game 2, losing 138-98 to the Los Angeles Clippers as Blake Griffin took out his frustration on the opponents after being shackled and limited by fouls in the first game.

NBA Head Coaches Fired at the End of the Season
Not all head coaches who left their teams at the end or during the 2013-14 NBA regular season were fired. Tyrone Corbin didn’t get his contract picked up by the Utah Jazz. Rick Adelman retired from coaching altogether, but the Minnesota Timberwolves wouldn’t have kept him. Maurice Cheeks was fired mid-season by the Detroit Pistons, while Mike Woodson got the axe from the New York Knicks a week after he failed to make the playoffs.

Grizzlies Over Thunder – The Right Kind of Basketball
In a game 2 that was a lot more like the previous postseason meetings between the two teams, the Memphis Grizzlies took home court advantage away from the Oklahoma City Thunder thanks to a 111-105 overtime win which included a huge game from both Zach Randolph and Mike Conley, while Kevin Durant going wild in the fourth quarter wasn’t enough for a team that simply doesn’t play the right way.

NBA Playoffs – Game 2 Predictions (Grizzlies vs Thunder, Warriors vs Clippers)
The weekend is over, so it means less busy days of playoff games, and better focus on each one. The Memphis Grizzlies will try and go home with at least some hope and win playing in game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Los Angeles Clippers, already losing home court advantage, have to win against the Golden State Warriors.

San Antonio Spurs – Getting Away With One
The San Antonio Spurs almost let an entire season of work slip away from them against a team they haven’t lost to in more than two years, but the Dallas Mavericks froze in the fourth quarter, like they did in the first, falling apart in the end and losing 85-90, finding no answer to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker taking things to a different level in the fourth quarter.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Can’t Fix What James Harden Ruins
Leading your team in scoring doesn’t mean you aren’t hurting your team. James Harden was awful in overtime and too wasteful for most of the game as the Houston Rockets lost home court advantage with a series opening loss at home, that was almost prevented by Jeremy Lin, who once again wasn’t used enough which didn’t stop him from coming through in overtime, although it wasn’t enough.

Wizards Over Bulls – Nothing Special About Game 1 Upsets
We’ve gotten used to the road win taking home court advantage in these playoffs, and the Washington Wizards beating the Chicago Bulls in the series opener was no different from the trend, taking a 102-93 win thanks to a strong finish with an excellent performance from Nene and an overall great effort on the glass.
