Maybe the best game of the season in the ACC so far ended with North Carolina winning on the road against North Carolina State 81-79 with finally a big and efficient shooting night for Marcus Paige, while managing to overcome a huge mistake by whoever runs the clock in the arena, giving the Wolfpack 15 extra seconds to try and complete their comeback.

Miami Over Duke – Not Just a Loss, but a Panic Inducing Blowout
Maybe it’s time to think about a mini crisis at Duke, losing at home to Miami 90-74, breaking some long lasting streaks when it comes to avoiding consecutive big losses and losing at home in general, with the ACC once again proving to be a lot more difficult than what happens outside the conference.

North Carolina Over Louisville – Maybe They’re Contenders After All
Conference play is wild, unexpected and full of surprises. There were plenty of those as North Carolina came from behind to beat Louisville 72-71 with Marcus Paige hitting the late game winning layup in an excellent clash of ranked teams.

ACC – Duke Still Undefeated, Virginia Too
There are three undefeated teams left in the 2014-2015 College Basketball season. Kentucky in the SEC and the top contenders to go all the way, while Duke and Virginia in the ACC offer less flashy and heralded option for not losing, although just as effective.

Kentucky Wildcats – Still Undefeated, But Barely
The SEC might not be so easy after all for Kentucky. They remain undefeated in the 2014-2015 season, but were pushed to the brink by Ole Miss in their first conference game, missing 89-86 in overtime led by a huge shooting performance from Aaron Harrison.

Oklahoma Over Texas – Big 12 Humiliation No One Expected
The fans were very quiet inside the Frank Erwin Center during and after Oklahoma finished ripping Texas apart, beating the Longhorns 70-49 with an excellent display of defense and smart, unselfish offense, suggesting they should be taken very seriously in the Big 12 this season.
