    It’s that time of year again. Winter is in his final days (at least that’s what the calendar says), meaning the Champions League knockout stages are here. Starting today, with Tottenham, AC Milan, Valencia and Schalke opening things up, we’re here with an updated version of our list – the Top ten scorers in the history of the Champions League (since 1992), from Hercules’ French striker David Trezeguet to the man who breathes and bleeds Real Madrid but plays for Schalke, Raul.

    At 36, Alessandro Del Piero, Juventus’ all time leading goal scorer and most capped player, who has been with this club since 1993, who has won five (or seven) Serie A titles with the club, one Champions League title, and probably more importantly, went down to Serie B with the club in 2006-2007, needs to be shown the way out by club president.

    Who says Juventus haven’t been spending? The most successful club in Italian football inaugurated their brand new stadium, yet to be named (The Juventus Arena for now) in a draw with Notts County, the club that brought the Nerrazuri the Zebra colors in the beginning of the 20th century. The first modern football stadium in Italy, in Juventus there’s hope and belief that a new era, with new titles and long lost success will begin.
