In a slightly busier than usual NBA thursday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers suffered another loss that pisses off LeBron James, the Oklahoma City Thunder keep on rolling, the Chicago Bulls get further away from a playoff spot and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Portland Trail Blazers on a buzzer beater.

A busy night for the NBA with the Golden State Warriors moving closer towards making NBA history, the San Antonio Spurs looking perfect at home, the Cleveland Cavaliers pulling through the LeBron James drama while playoff spots keep changing hands in the West and East, with the Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers gaining the upper hand for now.

Not a lot of action with just four games on a midweek NBA night. The Charlotte Hornets keep on winning with Jeremy Lin leading the way, the Miami Heat look good against a broken team, the Oklahoma City Thunder make things complicated for the Houston Rockets while the Los Angeles Lakers actually win a game, against the Memphis Grizzlies of all teams.

The San Antonio Spurs couldn’t hold on to a big lead or contain Jeremy Lin in a surprising loss to the Charlotte Hornets, while the Golden State Warriors overcame another bad shooting performance by Stephen Curry thanks to Draymond Green, his skills and his ability to do some illegal things referees ignore, and the Eastern conference playoff race is at a status quo with all four teams at 7-8-9-10 spots winning their games.

The San Antonio Spurs didn’t just beat the Golden State Warriors, they may have shown a way to stop them. The Cleveland Cavaliers, a bit earlier, crashed in Miami, which is something that happens once or twice a year. The Oklahoma City Thunder rocked in Indiana and the Chicago Bulls look like they’re finally interested in making the playoffs.

The NBA decided to have an unusually busy Thursday night to try and compete with the NCAA Tournament, as a lot of ups & downs in playoff seeding happen all over. The Charlotte Hornets might actually finish in the top 4, the Chicago Bulls hang on to that 8th spot, the Utah Jazz get closer to it out West while the San Antonio Spurs stay close to the NBA champions by remaining perfect at home.

So just another regular night of NBA basketball. What happened? The Golden State Warriors cruised at home, the Oklahoma City Thunder did the same in Boston, the Cleveland Cavaliers won without LeBron James and the Charlotte Hornets went back to their winning ways, at least when playing on their home court.

A short day of NBA action with most of the attention going to the beginning of some college basketball thing.
