No, not because Joe Flacco said he thinks of himself as the best quarterback in the NFL. Not because the AFC hasn’t had a champion since the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008. It’s because the Baltimore Ravens are playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Eagles’ home opener, and for the last three seasons, whoever plays that game against the Eagles wins, and goes on to win the Super Bowl.

Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh are the first pair of brothers to serve as NFL head coaches in the league’s history. Jim, in his debut season as an NFL head coach, led the San Francisco 49ers to a 13-3 record and needs to beat the Giants to reach the Super Bowl. John has led the Baltimore Ravens to the post season for a fourth consecutive time and his second AFC championship game.
