In what was supposed to be Team USA’s hardest and sternest test before beginning the real deal, the 2012 Olympic basketball tournament, the Americans cruised to a 100-78 victory over Spain, led by LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony in another game that showed everything that makes up for the noticeable deficiencies the 2012 dream team has.

The Venues of the 2012 Olympic Games in London
We’re a few days away from the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic games in London, which will be held at the newly built Olympic Stadium, which many hope will not become what the Bird’s Nest in Beijing has become, like most of the venues from the 2008 Olympics. But there’s more to these games than just the Olympic Stadium, with 30 stadiums, arenas and others used to host the competitions and the fans.

Although the player getting most of the attention in this version of the dream team is undoubtedly LeBron James, there’s someone just as good behind the all conquering undisputed MVP of the NBA, Kevin Durant. Against Argentina, in the USA’s toughest exhibition test yet, it was the deputy to the NBA’s best player who carried the star studded team on his back.

Back in 2008, despite all the young stars, it was Kobe Bryant who took team USA on his back in the final against Spain. This time, LeBron James showed that 2012 might be his turn to lead the Dream Team if things get a little tight, like they did in the exhibition game against Brazil.
