  • Are the Clippers Better Than We Thought?

    Chris Paul dashing through the Oklahoma City Thunder defense looked like it’ll end with a smile for the Clippers, and it did. The Thunder are usually great in the clutch, especially on defense, but something about that zone they tried just didn’t work. Maybe they actually feared Paul might dish it to someone else, but he took it all on himself all night.

    LeBron James and the Miami Heat had something to prove. As little as some regular season games mean in the long run, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder and outplaying Kevin Durant seemed like a must for a team that unlike the criticism around them, didn’t seem to buy in to the apocalyptic prophecies.

    Russell Westbrook enjoyed not having Derrick Rose face him, just as the Oklahoma City Thunder in general enjoyed playing the Chicago Bulls without their best player. More than anything, Westbrook probably enjoyed posterizing Omer Asik in one of the most impressive dunks of the season, as the Thunder notched an equally impressive win, showing they are currently the number one team in the NBA.

    Kevin Durant has won the NBA rookie of the year award in 2008, he’s a three time NBA All-Star, two time NBA scoring champion and two time All-NBA first team member. It’s time he adds the MVP award to everything else he’s achieved in the (almost) five season’s he has been in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Seattle Supersonics.

Took some time, but they’re finally there.
