Serge Ibaka pulled off another impressive stat line in the Thunder’s 109-95 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, finishing with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks, the most impressive of those blocked shots coming against Nicolas Batum who was soaring, on his way to finish with an impressive dunk of his own.
No surprise about Ibaka showing up on the rejection highlights. The Congolese/Spanish big man is leading the NBA in blocks this season with 3.34 per game. Last month he recorded his first career triple double, which was made up of 14 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocks, becoming the first player in franchise history to record a triple double with double digits in blocks.

At 22, Ibaka is in his third season in the NBA. The 6’10 power forward is averaging 9 point, 7.9 rebounds while shooting 53.2% from the field. He even attempted, and made, one three pointer this season, keeping him at 100% from beyond the arc. He won a gold medal with the Spanish national team during the summer in the European Basketball championships.
The Thunder have now won four straight games, and their 38-12 record is keeping them on top of the Western conference, 3 games ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. The Blazers slipped to 23-27, four games behind the 8th spot for the playoffs.
